35 suspects who investigators say made arrangements to have sex with children, were arrested during a recent four-day undercover sting.

"Operation Home Alone" targeted people who use a computer or other electronic devices to try to arrange to have sex with children, according to Clearwater Police.

The suspects, who range in age from 19 to 65, thought they were chatting with boys or girls, instead they were communicating with undercover detectives, investigators say.

The suspects then traveled to various locations to have sex with the kids, who they thought were as young as 11-years-old. But, the men were arrested instead, according to investigators.

"If these predators are going after our children, we're going to make sure we go after these predators," said Clearwater Police Chief Anthony Holloway.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office partnered with Clearwater Police for the sting.

Investigators say most of the suspects were from the Tampa Bay area. 23 were from Pinellas County, seven were from Hillsborough County and two each were from Pasco and Manatee counties.
