NTSB release findings of Atlanta PD helicopter crash from 2012

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

The National Transportation Safety Board released its findings from an Atlanta police helicopter crash that occurred in 2012.

The NTSB said the pilots were traveling at night and did not file a flight plan.

The helicopter, which originated at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, collided with power lines and crashed on Nov. 3, 2012.

The pilot and flight officer were both fatally injured.

The aircraft flown was a Hughes OH-6A.
