Braves reach 2-year deal with Jason Heyward

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

The Braves signed a two-year deal with Jason Heyward Tuesday, keeping him with the team through 2015.

The 24-year-old outfielder had a .254 batting average in 2013, which also included 14 home runs and 38 RBIs.

Heyward played in 104 games last season, missing action twice due to injury.

He has played in 532 total games, with a .259 batting average, 73 home runs and 234 RBIs, after making his major league debut in 2010 with the Braves.
