Atlanta police announced the arrest of one of their most wanted suspects Wednesday, Johnathan Kirkland, 23.

Police said Kirkland murdered a man outside of the Déjà Vu Club in southeast Atlanta in December. They also believe he's the ringleader in a number of ATM thefts.

"He's been running very hard. He's probably been one of our hardest suspects we've been looking at over the last year," said Lt. Terry Joyner with the Atlanta Police Department.

SWAT members arrested him, without incident, at a home on Redford Drive, after police received a tip. Nine other people were in the home, including five children, but no one was injured.

Police would not comment, specifically, on which ATM thefts they believed he committed because the investigations are still active.

Kirkland is in the Fulton County Jail charged with murder, robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was expected to appear before a judge Thursday.
