A man was arrested on burglary charges after Atlanta police officers followed his footprints in the snow.

Officers arrested Kenneth Ray Evans after police said he stole a generator and an air compressor.

On Thursday, officers were called to K&K Soul Food on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway around 3:30 a.m.

The business was closed and under construction due to a fire.

Upon arrival, officers found lights on inside and the front door unlocked.

There were footprints and small wheel tracks leading from the business.

Officers followed the tracks approximately one mile to a home on the corner of Neal Street and Sunset Avenue.

After officers were allowed inside, they saw a generator and an air compressor.

Police said the generator had wheels with tread that matched the wheel marks they had followed.

The shoes on Evans matched the tracks they had followed and his shoes were still wet.

Officers met with the business owner and confirmed that the items they had located had been stolen from the business.

Evans was taken to Fulton County Jail.
