Teen critical after being shot twice

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A teenager is hospitalized after being shot overnight in SW Atlanta. The shooting happened on Sylvan Road SW near Bridgewater Street SW around 1:15 a.m.

Atlanta police told CBS Atlanta News that teen was shot twice. Bullets struck the victim in the shoulder and side. The victim is a 17-year-old male according to investigators.

Police are investigating what sparked the shooting. They are continuing to look for the gunman.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition was considered critical at the time.
