Off-duty officer credited in saving life of toddler

HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

An off duty officer is credited with helping to save life of a toddler from a hotel pool Monday evening.

Henry County police and EMS responded to possible drowning call at the Hilton Gardens on West Hwy. 81 in McDonough.

When units arrived, they discovered an off duty officer had pulled the child from the water and performed CPR.

The child had regained consciousness. He was taken to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing.

It is unclear what agency the off-duty officer works for.
