Several good Samaritans stopped to help a cyclist after she was struck by an SUV and dragged 15 feet on Monument Avenue.

The woman was headed west on Monument Avenue around 8:10 a.m. Thursday when she was struck by an SUV headed south on Mulberry Street, according to Richmond Police. Several people stopped to help the woman, lifting the SUV off of her and sliding her out from underneath.

The woman was conscious and breathing at the scene. She was taken to VCU Medical Center's trauma unit with non-life threatening injuries.
