An Atlanta woman died while making a movie in south Georgia this week.

The Wayne County Sheriff's office identified her as Sarah Elizabeth Jones, 27.

The accident happened Thursday while a film crew was working on train tracks shooting footage for "Midnight Rider". The film is based on the life of singer Gregg Allman. Detectives said the crew had placed a mattress on the tracks to shoot a dream sequence. While they had been granted permission to film on the property next to the tracks, detectives said CSX Railroad had not given them permission to be on the tracks.

Jones was hit by the train. Seven others were injured from flying debris from the mattress.

According to her online resume, Jones was a Second Camera Assistant who had worked on a number of projects including "The Vampire Diaries".

Jones was originally from Charleston, South Carolina. The South Carolina Film Commission posted on its Facebook page: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Sarah Jones. She was much loved in our community, and she'll be missed terribly. Please also send thoughts and prayers to Joyce Gilliard, who was injured in the tragic accident. And to all others who were affected."
