Silver medal winner Elana Meyers visits Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Georgia Olympic silver medalist Elana Meyers shared her win with some special friends. The bobsledder brought her medal to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.

"These are my medals from the Olympics. Do you know what bobsled is?" Meyers asked the kids.

The Douglasville native spent time with the kids after returning home from her silver win in Sochi. She couldn't wait to share her success.

"I love this hospital so much and I love the work they do at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and just to be able to come back and bring something back, anything is a huge honor for me," Meyers said.

She gave the kids an experience they won't soon forget.

"It was pretty cool, I didn't expect an Olympic contestant to be in the hospital, it was pretty cool holding the medal and all. She just wanted to help make our day a little bit better and just help us," 13-year-old Matthew Eidson said.

Emerson Shuester got a lesson in bobsled, her day made a little sweeter when Meyers shared a message with her.

"You can accomplish anything if you work really hard," Shuester said.

That's what Meyers has done throughout her career. And she credits support at home with helping her realize her own dreams.

"I'm super stoked to have the silver medal and can't wait to see where the future leads me. We were a 10th of a second out of gold and I think we have a lot of good things coming," Meyers said.

Meyers won bronze four years ago. She took home silver this year and will go for gold in 2018.

And she has another big day to look forward to, her wedding. Meyers will marry in April, and she joked the silver goes better with the white dress than gold would.
