ATLANTA (AP) -

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says 180 coin-operated amusement machines will be removed from businesses throughout the state after an investigation into illegal gambling.

GBI spokeswoman Sherry Lang says the agency along with several local law enforcement offices executed search warrants in Lanier, Clinch, Berrien and Lowndes counties on Wednesday.

The warrants allowed authorities to search several businesses, four houses and a storage facility. Lang says the a Superior Court judge in the Alapaha Judicial Circuit revoked the Coin Operated Amusement Machine license for a man who was arrested in the probe.

Lang says that order calls for machines to be pulled from about 30 stores throughout the state.

Lang says seven people from Lakeland, Valdosta and Ray City were arrested during the investigation.
