Officials in west Georgia say country comedian Tim Wilson has died of a heart attack.
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton said Wilson was pronounced dead at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga. He was 52.
Wilson, of Columbus, had appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and recorded several albums including "I Should Have Married My Father-In-Law," ''Low-Class Love Affair" and "Hillbilly Homeboy."
Wilson is known to have spent much of his career in Atlanta and was a regular at The Punchline Comedy Club for several decades. He was also featured on several syndicated radio programs.
