Miss Georgia, Carly Mathis, is flipping pancakes for customers at the IHOP on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard Tuesday to help the restaurant chain raise money for charity during National Pancake Day.
IHOP restaurants nationwide are offering a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes to customers on Tuesday, March 4, while inviting them to make a small donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Mathis mingled with guests and later replaced her tiara and sash with an apron as IHOP chefs helped her sharpen her pancake-making skills. Guests also got to meet Miss Rockdale County, Meredith Crawley, and Miss Cherokee Rose, Patricia Ford.
IHOP's goal is to raise $3 million, for a total of nearly $16 million during its nine years of hosting National Pancake Day.
