Several families displaced by College Park fire

COLLEGE PARK, GA (CBS46) -

A blaze at a College Park apartment complex displaced 33 residents early Wednesday morning.

Flames broke out around 4 a.m. at the Old Town Villa apartments at 2200 Godby Road. Firefighters arrived to find flames through the roof of Building "E" in the complex according to College Park officials. One resident told CBS46 that they jumped to escape the fire.

Ten units were affected according to the Red Cross. Six of the 10 units, were occupied. The Red Cross assisted 14 adults and 19 children with food, clothing, and shelter.

Firefighters began laying lines in the 2100 block to fight the large fire. Fire crews from Fulton and Clayton counties assisted College Park fire.

College Park authorities said no one was injured in the fire.
