All lanes are back open after a tractor-trailer caught on fire during the morning commute, closing southbound lanes Thursday.

The call came in around 7:15 a.m. along Interstate 95 South at Interstate 295 in Prince George County, near the South Crater Road exit near mile-marker 46. All lanes were back open by 4:40 p.m.

There were no injuries. The tractor-trailer was fully loaded with tires. A preliminary investigation indicated that the fire started as a result of a brake fire on the trailer, according to Virginia State Police.
