Hundreds of people gathered on the corner of Ormond and Greenfield Street to hold a candlelight prayer vigil for Kelcey Thornton.
Thornton, 37, was shot and killed just before 9 p.m. Sunday. People who live across the street described hearing multiple shots and finding Thornton lying in a small pool of blood in the street.
"If anybody knows anything, I wish they would come forward," Cinda Tekolu said. Tekolu is Thornton's aunt. "Today it was Kelcey, tomorrow it could be anyone else's family. Whoever did this is a murderer. And they need to be brought to justice. So, now people aren't safe. I don't feel safe here knowing someone is walking around the street and killing people in cold blood."
Atlanta police said they do not have any suspect information or motives. Crimestoppers Atlanta is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. You can remain anonymous. Their number is 404-577-TIPS.
