DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A wreck involving four tractor trailers has killed one driver.  The accident happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday.  One truck had its trailer nearly demolished after another one hit it.

Around 4 a.m., a tractor trailer truck was traveling on Interstate 285 North and began to exit onto Interstate 85 North. The driver lost control in the curve causing his vehicle to cut across the lanes of I-85 North into the path of a second tractor trailer already traveling on I-85 north. The second tractor trailer struck the trailer portion of the first tractor trailer. The driver of the second tractor trailer died as a result of the collision. He was identified as Corey Hart, 33, of Lithia Springs. The other driver is still in the hospital and his identity has not been released at this time.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, all lanes at northbound I-85 and I-285 were blocked, as was the I-285 entrance ramp, for several hours. Traffic was diverted to northbound I-285 via Pleasantdale Road.

Industrial equipment was used to clean up debris from one truck which was hauling glass bottles. Those bottles spilled onto the pavement.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.

CBS46 News will have more details as they become available.
