FORSYTH COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A SWAT search that began Saturday morning in Forsyth County was called off Saturday night, according to a representative from Alpharetta police.

Authorities say they searched "for hours in a very large area."

The SWAT search was for robbery suspect Kinneth Battle who is still at large.

Police say they will move into a different phase to capture Battle as soon as possible.

Battle was one of two men who robbed a BP convenience store on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta around 2 a.m. Saturday morning in north Fulton County.

Although the suspects were able to flee the scene, the store clerk was able to give authorities the tag number for the jeep the robbers were driving.

Based on the tag information, authorities eventually tracked the suspects to a Forsyth County home.

While one of the suspects was caught and arrested, Battle escaped from the back of the home and into a wooded area in south Forsyth County.

Battle is described as 5'10" tall and 200 pounds, according to authorities.

The search Saturday was originally focused from Ga. Highway 400 to Highway 9 along an area from Post Road to Bethelview Road in Forsyth County.
