After a wet start to the week, the rain is coming to an end in Atlanta. Don't be surprised if you see an isolated sprinkles through the evening. However, no additional significant rain is expected in Atlanta.
After isolated sprinkles and showers this evening, it will turn completely dry on Tuesday.
Why the rain?
The rain is being caused by a slow moving storm system moving through the southeast U.S. An area of low pressure and two fronts have all combined to produce scattered showers.
Even with the system moves east of Atlanta on Monday, showers are expected on the back-side of the low pressure area through at least Tuesday.
