A sting operation landed a Clayton County man and woman in jail for numerous charges, including human trafficking.
Officers arrested Nathan Davis, 29, and Yollanda Cosme, 31, after setting up to meet an underage escort March 20 around 8 p.m.
During a Clayton County sheriff's joint vice task force operation, agents discovered a 16-year-old had posted on a social media site as an escort in the area of Georgia Highway 138.
Davis and Cosme arrived with the teen at the meeting. The vice unit arrested all three at the scene, according to a press release posted on the Clayton County sheriff's Facebook page.
Officers later released the juvenile to a guardian.
Investigators said Davis and Cosme recruited the teen via social media. The pair lured the teen with the enticement of easy money by having sex for a portion of her earnings.
Davis and Cosme are in the Clayton County jail on charges of human trafficking, sexual exploitation of a minor and pimping.
Davis has an additional charge of obstruction of an officer when he tried to run from the vice unit.
Court records show Davis and Cosme are scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 1.
