The loved ones of a teenager shot and killed in a parking lot on March 20, spoke with CBS46 in the hopes of catching 18-year-old Quantaveus Armstrong's killer.

DeKalb County police have identified the shooter in the case as 16-year-old Kedar Dixon. Authorities have posted his picture on the Atlanta Crime Stoppers website and have also handed out "wanted" fliers with his picture on them.

The family of the teen killed hopes someone who knows where Dixon is will step up.

Armstrong's mother, Natasha, is still unable to speak about her son's murder without breaking down. So, instead, her best friend spoke to CBS46 reporter Donna Rapado.

"She's been very stressed out... [she's] taking it real hard because that's her first son," the woman said about Armstrong's mother.

Natasha's best friend wanted to remain anonymous because, she said, the shooter is still out there, calling him a "murderer."

"It's very scary. That's mainly why I don't want my picture shown... I have kids and I think about our lives also," she explained. "Because if a person knows they going to jail anyway, they'll take anyone with them."

Police say Dixon shot Armstrong last week in a gas station parking lot in DeKalb County after the two argued.

"Do what's right," Natasha Armstrong's friend said in a message to whoever might be hiding Dixon.  "Just turn him in. Because how would they feel if this was their son. It's not right."

Police urge anyone with information about Kedar Dixon to call Atlanta Crime Stoppers. You can also send them your anonymous tips here. They are offering up to a $2,000 reward.
