ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Atlanta police are trying to figure out who pulled the trigger in a deadly shooting in Southwest Atlanta Wednesday afternoon. It happened at the Windsor Square Town homes. They are located in the 3800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

Police said they received the 911 call shortly after 1:15 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene they said they found Nicholas Hagood, 34, of Marietta, with a gunshot wound to the chest. Hagood was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are now trying to figure out what happened and why.

"At this point we have not established a motive for this incident nor have we identified any suspects. We do not believe the person lives here but we have not established the reason for him to be in this proximity," said Capt. Paul Guerrucci, with the Atlanta Police Department's Homicide Unit.

Guerrucci said detectives believe Hagood's car may be missing and they are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Atlanta Police Dept.
