Raynard Lexie, the man convicted and sentenced for his
involvement in the September 2012 home invasion
and assault of two SCAD students, has been
given a new trial date.
Judge Walmsley signed the
order for a new trial on March 25, and Lexie is due in court for his
arraignment on May 25.
Lexie and another man
approached one of the students outside of her residence on Waldburg Street,
forced her inside and sexually assaulted her. The woman's roommate then arrived
at the residence and was pushed down the stairs, breaking her leg.
