Friends of woman hit at bus stop say she will now undergo surgery

Posted: Updated:

Authorities said they are looking for Alan Richardson, 43, who they said crashed into a bus stop full of people in Union City.

"It's bothering me so bad because my friend could have been gone," said Shamira Hollis, a friend of Robin Allen, 31, the woman allegedly hit by Richardson.

Hollis said Allen is in serious condition in a hospital and will have to undergo surgery.

"The impact was so bad that she doesn't know anything she was leaving work ... she was out unconscious she just remembers people talking," said Hollis.

Police said three or four other people were injured during the incident, but only Allen had to be hospitalized.

"What we have here is an individual (Richardson) who does not want to take responsibility for his actions and his reckless behavior (and) who has caused injury to innocent people now," said Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo with the Fairburn Police Department.

Fulton County unrelated to the crash.

Sgt. Bazydlo said Richardson's driver's license has been suspended eight times.
