DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

The mother of a 2-year-old boy killed after a hit-and-run in a Walmart parking lot is asking for the public's help in finding a suspect.

"He killed my 2-year-old baby and by the grace of God my 4-year-old survived," said Vashti Lindsay, the mother.

Police released a picture of the vehicle which they said the suspect drove. Investigators said a witness saw the man throw a beer bottle out of the window as he sped off.

"He was sitting there for five to 10 minutes because me and my kids were sitting there for a while waiting to cross," said Lindsay.

Police do not have much in the way of a description, but said the suspect is Hispanic.

"He ran over my kids and I'm screaming at him, "Stop! Please stop!"

Lindsay said she does not know how she will move on after the death of her son, Caleb.

"My baby boy didn't deserve to go like that nor did my daughter deserve to get hit like that. They both got ran over by some kind of drunk monster," said Lindsay.

Police said Lindsay's daughter is listed in stable condition.

If you recognize the vehicle in the picture, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 404-577-8477.
