King's Hawaiian Bread plans to expand its production facilities in northeast Georgia and hire 450 new employees over the next two years.
The Times of Gainesville reports that the expansion is taking place at the company's plant in Oakwood.
The bakery opened its local production line in the Hall County community in 2010 as part of its East Coast operations to meet growing customer demand.
On Monday, King's Hawaiian signed a partnership with Georgia Quick Start, an arm of the state's Department of Economic Development, and Lanier Technical College to customize training programs for the expanded workforce needed on its new production lines.
The company's Georgia expansion plans include the addition of a 120,000-square-foot production facility.
