PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Phoenix police were looking for a person who shot two men, one fatally, while they stood in a parking lot of a Phoenix shopping center Thursday night.
The Phoenix Police Department spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson said James Finn and another man were walking into a business in the area of 27th Avenue and Indian School Road about 11 p.m. when a silver sedan pulled up to them. A man got out of the car and asked if one of them was "Ohio." Finn said he was "Ohio" and walked up to the car. A second man got out of the car and shot Finn and the 50-year-old man with him.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and Finn died from his injuries. Thompson said the other victim did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses were unable to provide any descriptions of the suspect, other than to say he ran from the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
