Eastern bongo born at Zoo Atlanta

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A healthy, male eastern bongo was born at Zoo Atlanta on Saturday.

The calf is the third offspring of 5-year-old Matilda.

According to Rachel Davis with Zoo Atlanta, eastern bongos are critically endangered African antelopes. Davis says fewer than 500 remain in the wild in their native Kenya.

Matilda's firstborn, Beauregard, was the first bongo ever born at Zoo Atlanta in 2011.
