FORSYTH COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

The suspect wanted for the April 9 robbery of the Chase Bank at 1700 Buford Highway was arrested by Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Tuesday night.

Stephen C. Plunkett, 39 years old, from Dallas, was taken into custody on Georgia 400 in Forsyth County. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit was able to identify Plunkett based on fingerprint evidence left at the scene.

On April 9, Plunkett drove his vehicle into the drive-thru teller lane at Chase Bank. He received an undisclosed amount of cash after he gave the teller a note that stated an explosive device was attached. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Bomb Disposal Unit disposed of the device, which turned out to be non-explosive.

Plunkett has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault with more charges pending. He is also wanted out of Dallas for probation violation. He will remain in the Forsyth County Detention Center pending further investigation of other possible robberies in Georgia.
