FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5) -

Police say they have arrested the suspect who allegedly shot and critically injured a man in Flagstaff Thursday night.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of N. Rose St. and found 38-year-old Larry Hernandez shot, Flagstaff police spokesman Sgt. Cory Runge said.

A search warrant was served and George Azar, 54, was booked into Coconino County Detention Facility for second-degree attempted homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Hernandez, who is also from Flagstaff, was taken to the Flagstaff Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. As of Friday afternoon, Hernandez was in intensive care, according to Flagstaff police.
