DULUTH, GA (CBS46) -

Police in Gwinnett County are looking into how a man ended up dead on a trail behind an apartment complex.

He has been identified as 21-year-old Joel Tengue. Police are looking for Nicambreon Flowers, age 24 in connection with the murder.

Officers got the call at noon Saturday and found the man shot dead, his car in the parking lot of the Astor Place Apartments at 1435 Boggs Road in Duluth.

A woman who would only identify herself as "Donna" told CBS46 this is the first time in her seven years living at the complex that something like this happened.

Police found the body about 100 yards from her front door.

"Donna" says she loves it at the apartment complex, which is peaceful and quiet, tucked by the woods.

"It's real scary, because everybody thinks that I'm the neighborhood watch. And I do try to keep our community safe," she explained. "I'm very concerned about everybody here."

Detectives are trying to figure out who the man is and what happened.

Astor Place management released the following statement Saturday afternoon:

"Our thoughts are with the victim and the victim's family. We are cooperating fully with the authorities as they investigate this crime. The security and safety of our residents is our No. 1 priority, and we will continue to work diligently to ensure their safety."

If you have any information about this incident, police ask that you call 770-513-5700.
