Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Brookhaven police were called to a burglary Wednesday on Winding Lane. After interviewing the victim, they began canvassing the neighborhood in hopes of getting more information. Officers went to a home next door and found the back door open. They went inside after announcing themselves.

While inside the home, they found property matching the description of the person who was robbed.

They then looked under a bed, and that's where they found 40-year-old Rebecca Turner hiding. Police determined the woman lived at the home. They also found more items stolen from a car in the neighborhood the day before.

Turner was arrested and charged with four counts of theft by receiving. She is currently being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center.
