Chesterfield man shot on Tinsberry Drive, in critical condition

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Chesterfield police are looking for a shooter and they need your help.

It happened around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday on Tinsberry Drive, off of Jeff Davis Highway.

The victim was shot in the lower back, and he has been taken into surgery. He's in critical condition.

Police received a call about random gun shots. About 30 minutes later, the man who was shot showed up at the Food Lion near Cogbill Road. He was soon taken to the hospital.

Police closed off Tinsberry Drive for several hours as they collected evidence, but the street is back open Thursday morning.

Police have not released a description of the suspect. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 748-0660.
