New stores, restaurants at Lenox Square in Buckhead
Sprinkles Cupcakes' new store at Lenox Square
Nike's new flagship store in Buckhead
ATLANTA (CBS46) -
If you haven't been to Lenox Square in a while, you might not recognize the place. A year-long renovation has completely transformed the facade of the landmark mall in Buckhead.
The renovation includes a completely revamped main entrance featuring a two-story glass panel, a traffic circle for better traffic flow and more pedestrian-friendly walkways.
New stores include UGG, Vince Camuto and Nike.
"Nike is a two-story flagship store that incorporates repurposed bleachers on the store front," said mall manager Robin Suggs. "They recycled a lot of old basketball courts for their floor."
Sprinkles Cupcakes is another new addition. Suggs said it's becoming quite popular for its "Cupcake ATM."
"It's similar to a cash ATM," Suggs said. "Sprinkles bakes and stocks the ATM, and any time of day, you can access the cupcake machine."
On Thursday, workers were in the final stages of work on three new restaurants - The Cheesecake Factory, True Food Kitchen and Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar. All three are expected to open by mid-June.
