A 4-year-old child has died at an Atlanta golf club.
Elliott Githens drowned Friday night at the Ansley Golf Club in northeast Atlanta.
The president of the club released the following statement:
Last night we experienced a tragic event at the pool with the passing of a young girl. At this time, we ask for your thoughts and prayers for the family members and friends impacted by this event. One of the great things about Ansley is our ability to rally around and support one another in difficult times. This spirit was evident last night in the members and staff that assisted on the pool deck and in the many that spontaneously gathered in prayer. May we continue to show our support for the family in the coming days.
