Three north and central Georgia football players were selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft Thursday night.
No. 19 - Ju'Wuan James from North Gwinnett High School
The highest player selected from north Georgia was Ju'Wuan James. James is an offensive tackle who attended North Gwinnett High School. He played college football for Tennessee and was drafted at No. 19 by the Miami Dolphins.
No. 24 - Darqueze Dennard from Twiggs County High School
Darqueze Dennard is a wide receiver who attended Twiggs County High School, which is located southeast of Macon, Ga. He played college football for Michigan State and was drafted No. 24 by the Cincinnati Bengals.
No. 31 - Bradley Roby from Peachtree Ridge High School
Bradley Roby is a cornerback who attended Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee. He played college football for Ohio State and was drafted No. 31 by the Denver Broncos.
