Phoenix 2nd grader accused of handing out pills to classmates

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Copper King Elementary School second grader in Phoenix could face disciplinary action, after school officials say he handed out vitamin C pills to his classmates.

About a dozen students said they thought their friend was giving them candy. It happened last Thursday during lunchtime.

The school nurse checked everyone out, and they were all fine.

A note was sent home to parents to let them know what happened. One called police. We're told they did investigate, but did not take any action.

One of those concerned parents also hit our action button to let us know about it.
