TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A storage structure caught fire on the eastside Saturday night, damaging a nearby home and burning through a power line, according to Tucson Fire Department PIO Barrett Baker.

Tucson Fire responded to the 800 block of South Hermosa Hill Place just before 7:00 p.m. When they arrived, the storage building was completely engulfed in flames. The fire was threatening the home that shared a roof with the shed.

The power line that fed to the house was burnt apart by flames. A palm tree caught fire and windy conditions shook embers across the scene.

Tucson Fire sent eight units and 21 fire fighters to extinguish the flames. No one was injured.

The owner of the home was not home during the fire and Tucson Fire was unable to contact the owner at the time. However, the damages will require the owner to be displaced due to the severing of the main electrical line, according to Building Safety on the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. We will update as more details become available.
