DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

DeKalb County police are trying to figure out what led to a shooting that ended in a crash in southeast Atlanta late Thursday night.

According to Capt. A.J. Andrzejewski of the police department's south precinct, someone called 911 at about 10:30 p.m. to report hearing gunshots in the area of Key Road near McNair High School. Seconds later, another caller reported a crash nearby.

Police arrived and found the car flipped upside down on the side of Key Road. One man, possibly the driver, was dead. Paramedics transported two other men to Grady Memorial Hospital. Officers weren't sure whether the injuries resulted from being shot or from the impact of the wreck.

"We don't know," Andrzejewski said. "They had a lot of blood on them."

A fourth man found outside the car was unhurt. Authorities were questioning him. Detectives are looking into whether alcohol or drugs played a part in the incident.
