Family of road rage victim asks public to help catch killer

An Atlanta family said they are living a nightmare after the death of a loved one.

"My husband and I have four sons, now we have three," said Raynell Wright.

Two months ago Wright's son, 33-year-old Demetrius Wright, was gunned down in his own vehicle on Cheshire Bridge Road near I-85.

"It is a pain that is just unbearable, unbearable. I don't wish it on anybody, and I can hardly take it. It is so painful," said Wright.

Police said a dark gray Pontiac Grand Prix pulled up beside Wright's car and someone inside opened fire.

Wright was rushed to the hospital but died three weeks later. Investigators are calling it a case of road rage.

"It has been very difficult because I have pictures throughout my home and I can't cry without looking at the pictures," said Wright.

Police have not made any arrests in the case, making the pain even worse for Wright's family.

"He was not a bad kid and I don't know who would do this to him. He was very smart, had a zest to live and now they cut that short," said Wright.

Wright and police are hoping for a break in the case that will lead to justice.

"That is all I am asking for, somebody who knows something to contact the police department. My heart is broken," said Wright.
