JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Sources close to the family say the brother of Atlanta Falcons star Roddy White was killed in a shooting Saturday morning.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office confirmed the victim of a shooting on James Island to be 21-year-old Tyrone Moore.
The Atlanta Falcons owner and chairman, Arthur Blank, released this statement following the death of Moore:
"We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy's brother Tyrone. Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances. Roddy and his family can count on our support through this very trying time. On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family."
Charleston County Deputies reported one male victim following a shooting on James Island early Saturday morning.
According to deputies, several shots were fired in front of the Lake House Club on Mosquito Beach.
Moore was shot and transported to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead later Saturday morning.
Deputies say the motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the Charleston County Coroner's Office are investigating the incident. The Coroner will release the identity and cause of death of the victim.
Deputies have not identified any suspects for the shooting.
