A Sandy Springs doctor, indicted on child molestation, has been arrested again.

Kelly Burton Thrasher, 41, was arrested Wednesday night in Miami, Florida, on charges of identity fraud and forgery.

The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force found Thrasher after a tip lead them to a Days Inn Hotel in the South Beach area.

Thrasher was taken into custody in the hotel room without incident. He had approximately $30,000 cash in his possession.

The manhunt began after Thrasher failed to show for an arranged meeting with Sandy Springs detectives Monday.

"We feared he was a flight risk," explained Sgt. Ronald Momon, with Sandy Springs Police.

Thrasher had arranged to turn himself in Monday after police said he took out a passport using someone else's name. CBS46 News learned the stolen identity was from one of Thrasher's patients at North Atlanta Internal Medicine.

Thrasher is currently under criminal indictment in Fulton County for child molestation. A father reported Thrasher had molested his daughter in 2012 at a sleepover at Thrasher's home.

In January 2014, Thrasher was charged by the state medical boards with practicing medicine without a license after the board received numerous complaints that Thrasher was seeing patients in his office in violation of the medical board's suspension of his license pending the disposition of the earlier case.

Thrasher is being held at the Metro West Detention Center in Miami awaiting extradition.
