A triple shooting in southwest Atlanta killed one man and wounded two more people Tuesday night.
Atlanta police were still investigating late into the night and said it appeared to be a drive-by shooting. Homicide detective Capt. Paul Guerrucci said possibly a gray or silver car with at least two people inside drove past a business at the corner of Lee Street and Murphy Avenue. The shooters fired at a group of six to 10 people in the parking lot of J Auto Sales.
The shooting killed one man. Another man was shot in the arm. He was treated and released. A woman who was also shot was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Dozens of officers and detectives scoured the area all around the small white building. They used flashlights and ballistics K-9's to search for evidence in the dark.
At the end of the night, police still had no motive, nor did they know if there was any connection to the business. They weren't releasing the names of the victims as they continued to speak to witnesses. Guerrucci urged anyone who might have heard or seen something to call police.
