ATLANTA (CBS46) -
A fan was injured at an Atlanta Braves game on Tuesday night when he was hit in the head by a foul ball.
Braves spokeswoman Beth Marshall said the young fan suffered a head injury and remained conscious, but was taken to the hospital after being treated on-site.
According to MLB.com, an audible thud was heard throughout Turner Field when the unidentified boy was struck with a foul ball that Carlos Gomez lined into the seats behind the Braves' first-base dugout during the seventh inning.
Gomez was visibly upset and took a knee at the plate. Other players, including Braves pitcher Julio Teheran and catcher Gerald Laird, appeared shaken.
