ANCHORAGE, AK (KTUU/CNN) - The Funny River Fire has burned more than 140,000 acres in Alaska.

It has been raging for nearly a week in Soldotna, south of Anchorage.

On Sunday, officials have asked people to evacuate a thousand buildings near the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.

At last check, the fire was 20 percent contained.

The cause, suspected to be human, is still being investigated.
