Fire damages apartment building, displaces residents

STOCKBRIDGE, GA (CBS46) -

The Red Cross assisted about 45 people who were displaced by a fire late Sunday night.

The two-alarm fire broke out around 10:20 p.m. at the Glenwood Vista apartments in Stockbridge. When firefighters arrived, they found one of the buildings heavily engulfed with flames.

Fire damaged 24 units in the building. Red Cross volunteers assisted victims with a place to stay, food and support as needed through the holiday weekend.

There were no injuries from the fire, according to Henry County fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
