NEW YORK CITY (CNN) - Who says rent in New York City is too expensive? Office space in the One World Trade Center tower just got cheaper.

The price cut is meant to attract more tenants.

Only three companies have signed leases, and a little fewer than half of the building's office space is still up for grabs.

The owners of the iconic building have cut rent from $75 per square foot to $69 for spots below the 64th floor.

Higher floors are a bit steeper, at $100 a square foot.
