CALHOUN, GA (CBS46) -

Three Calhoun High School seniors have been charged after allegations that they sexually assaulted a classmate.

Warrants were issued for Fields Chapman, Avery Johnson and Andrew Haynes, all 18.

The students turned themselves in at the Gilmer County Detention Center Wednesday morning.

According to Gilmer County investigators, more than two dozen students, mostly from Calhoun High School in Gordon County, were at a post-prom party. They were unsupervised, and they had a lot of alcohol.

The girl, 18, said around 2 a.m. she was sexually assaulted by multiple guys. She reported the crime from the hospital later that day.

The three men were charged with aggravated sexual battery and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Gilmer County Sheriff Stacy Nicholson said he and his investigators conducted more than 50 interviews during their investigation, and believe the assault happened through the use of a foreign object.

All teens were given a $51,000 property bond and bonded out immediately after being booked.
