Prepaid Peach Pass now available

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Drivers in Georgia can now pay for their tolls at their local drug store.

The State Road and Tollway Authority launched the "Pay n Go" Peach Pass on Monday. People can purchase this pass at participating CVS and Walgreens stores in Georgia.

Once bought and mounted, they can be used right away on the I-85 Express Lanes.

The Pay n Go version can also be converted to a regular Peach Pass account and earn free toll credits and other benefits.

The stores will sell two options. Drivers can buy a full starter kit, which includes an activated Peach Pass transponder and a reload card. Or they can buy just a reload card if they already have an account. Kits and cards can be bought in amounts from $20 to $500. There is a one-time convenience fee of $2.50 for the kit and $1.50 for the card every time funds are reloaded.

You can find a store selling the Pay n Go kits and reload cards by visiting www.PeachPass.com.
