Police now have in custody a man they say robbed several banks across the North Metro.
Chamblee police arrested Peter McCutcheon Monday on criminal trespass charges. They say at first, he gave officers a fake name. The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force was able to positively identify him as McCutcheon.
He was wanted for two bank robberies in Sandy Springs and others in Alpharetta, Atlanta and Gwinnett County.
McCutcheon was taken to Sandy Springs Police Headquarters for questioning. He is now being held at the Fulton County Jail.
